In the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, the Top Fuel category witnessed a fierce battle between Justin Ashley and Shawn Langdon, two of the best drivers in the class. The final round was a close affair, with Langdon pulling ahead to win with a 3.770-second run, despite Ashley's SCAG dragster pulling the tires loose. This victory not only showcased Langdon's skill but also highlighted the competitive nature of the sport.
The Funny Car category also featured some exciting moments. Bobby Bode, who had struggled with an oil pressure issue the previous day, made a solid run with a 4.075-second time at 280 mph. Meanwhile, Austin Prock's Motorcraft Ford knocked the tires loose past half track, resulting in a 4.220-second run at 235.56 mph. Jim Head and Spencer Hyde, however, found their rhythm and delivered a 3.930-second run, despite Head's assessment that they had the slowest car from 330' to 660'.
In the Pro Stock category, Cody Anderson started off the third qualifying session with a 6.632-second run, a significant improvement from the previous day's 7-second pass. The weather changes, including dropping temperatures and increasing wind, presented a unique challenge for the drivers. Kenny Declo and Joseph Wilczek made notable improvements, while Eric Latino and Matt Hartford also moved up the ladder. Greg Anderson, however, continued to struggle with his 60-foot speed, but still managed to hold onto the provisional No. 4 spot.
The Pro Stock Motorcycle category was equally exciting, with Brayden Davis making a significant jump from the bottom of the ladder to the top five with a 6.792-second run. Marc Ingwersen's motorcycle died at the starting line, while Kelly Clotnz made her best run of the weekend with a 6.836-second time. Clayton Howey, who had made contact with the wall the previous day, showed up with a new riding boot and improved his speed to the 200 mph range. John Hall and Ryan Oehler also made impressive passes, with Hall notching his best e.t. of the weekend with a 6.772-second run and Oehler making another monster pass with a 6.744-second run at 201.31 mph.
